About

The simplistic composition, but also the austerity and the silence which emanates from this delicate work, makes it one of the greatest still life masterpieces of the XVIIth century. This still life differs from the Baroque style, which was characterised by much more exuberant colours and forms.

The natural collaboration between DMC and the Louvre was born from the richness of their respective histories and knowledge. Discover the museum's masterpieces reinterpreted by DMC's designers, in this collection of DMC x Louvre kits.

The kit includes everything you need including the hoop, linen fabric and Mouliné Spécial threads, as well as clear step by step instructions.

Care

DMC Mouliné Spécial is colourfast and fade resistant so your project should stay looking great for generations to come. When washing please take into account the care instructions for any fabric you have used. We recommend washing with mild soap. After washing, roll your embroidery in a towel to remove excess water, then dry flat. Place your embroidery on a clean cloth, preferably while still damp, and iron on the reverse side, at the temperature setting recommended for the fabric.
