About
“One Person Can Change The World” - Rosa Parks
In celebration of Black History Month, DMC has partnered with contemporary activist artist Nneka Jones! Nneka uses her artwork to speak out against social injustices that are overlooked in everyday life. She has created a series of patterns for DMC dedicated to Civil Rights Leaders that continue to inspire the world today.
Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was an African-American activist in the civil rights movement best known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery bus boycott. The United States Congress has honored her as "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement". Rosa Parks was and continues to be a vision for change everywhere.
